PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator device capable of securing a stable scaffold during a maintenance inspection work, performing the work at a proper attitude and preventing staining of the shoe sole of a maintenance worker without cleaning a machine room floor at every maintenance inspection work, when performing the maintenance inspection work in the machine room on a downstairs side disposed with no driving motor and no control panel, with excellent work efficiency when viewed as a whole of the work. SOLUTION: In this escalator device, the machine rooms 3a and 3b are provided at each of both ends in the longitudinal direction of a truss 2 of an escalator 1, and the driving motor 4 for driving the operation of the escalator 1 and the control panel 5 for controlling the operation of the escalator 1 are disposed in the one machine room 3a.
