<p>The present invention provides an identification plate (1) for motor vehicles, wherein the identification plate (1) comprises: a first layer, wherein the first layer comprises a first portion coloured with a first colour and a second portion (4) which is injection moulded with a vehicle identification number. Embodiments include wherein upon attempted removal of the identification plate from a vehicle in use, an adhesion is broken with the first layer and a medium undergoes a chemical change such that at least a portion of the colour is changed to the first colour of the identification plate. A fibrous material may be provided which is attached to a double sided adhesive panel and which upon removal of the plate from the vehicle causes a medium in the first layer to change colour.</p> |
