<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase printing density and to prevent strike through and bleeding by making a color material in ink stay on a paper surface by suppressing penetration of the ink ejected onto a printing medium by a method different from conventional technique. <P>SOLUTION: First ink comprising at least a first organic solvent and an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound and second ink comprising at least a second organic solvent and an organic compound reacting onto the α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound as a nucleophilic agent are prepared. A color material is contained in at least either the first ink and the second ink and the first ink and the second ink are ejected onto the printing medium by being alternately laminated thereon. In this ink-jet printing method, the printing medium is treated in advance with a treating agent containing inorganic particles which coagulates when blended with the second ink and then the second ink and the first ink are ejected in this order.
