PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of the operation speed of a liquid delivering apparatus as much as possible while preventing the short supply of liquid to a liquid delivering head. SOLUTION: A printer performs printing on a recording sheet by repeating a series of operations where the operation of delivering ink from an inkjet head is carried out a plurality of times during one pass of moving the inkjet head from an end to end of the printing range in the scanning direction while shifting the recording sheet in the sheet delivering direction. A standby time decision unit 53 decides an integrated value S in an integration unit 61 by integrating values of parameters P1-P3 which are obtained by multiplying values of duties in passes immediately before 2 times before, and 3 times before detected in a duty detection unit 52 by 100 while weighting values of succeeding duties heavily, compares the integrated value S in a comparison unit 62 with a threshold L decided in a threshold decision unit 54, and provides a standby time after the pass immediately before when the integrated value S exceeds the threshold L.
