PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid jetting device that speedily switches between a cleaning process and a recording process. SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 1 with a recording head 6 for jetting ink to recording paper P includes: a fluid receiving member 71 that is disposed opposite the recording head 6 and receives the ink; a platen 81 that composes a part of a conveyance path where recording paper P is supported and conveyed and that is freely moved along the direction of conveyance of recording paper P between a blocking position where a space between the recording head 6 and the fluid receiving member 71 is blocked and a non-blocking position where the platen 81 retreats from the blocking position; and a movable paper guide 91 that composes a part of a conveyance path where recording paper P is supported and conveyed and is freely moved between a support position where recording paper P is supported on the conveyance path of the platen 81 and a retreat position where the guide 91 retreats from the support position.
