PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output device increasing speed and efficiency of data exchange in an overall control system with a reduced number of wiring in a system, while reducing the processing load of a control device. SOLUTION: An IOU 5 for processing input/output among sensors 1, 1, ..., actuators 2, 2, ... and an ECU includes a memory 52, so as to store data including sensor information, control state information, etc. obtained from the sensors 1, 1, ... and the actuators 2, 2, ... as a database 56. Through the processing of an input/output processor 54, the IOU 5 extracts from the database 56 data required by the ECU and other IOUs 5, 5, ..., and outputs the data at a required timing.
