A digital broadcast receiver (1) is provided with at least an input/output device (display (18)), and can receive programs transmitted by a plurality of services within a broadcast wave to which a single physical channel has been allocated. The digital broadcast receiver (1) determines whether or not duplicate services exist among the services received from a plurality of regions; if duplicate services exist, merges physical channels for each region (country) or service (broadcaster) and generates a service list; and is provided with a control means (control unit (15)), which displays the generated service list on the input/output device, and requests a selection input from the viewer.
