PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric shaver which is capable of improving the adhesion of an outer blade against skin, and the shaving performance. SOLUTION: The electric shaver includes: a head driving device 25 as the second driving means which allows a front-to-back tilting with a shaft (Y axis) along the width direction Y of the electric shaver 11 as a center, a right-to-left tilting with a shaft (X axis) along the front-to-back direction X perpendicular to the shaft of the width direction Y as a center, and an up-and-down motion in the vertical direction Z perpendicular to each of the shafts (X axis and Y axis) against a head part 13 having outer blades 15a to 17a; an acceleration sensor 26 as a detecting means to detect the operation state of the electric shaver 11; and a control circuit as a control means to control the head driving device 25 based on the detection signal from the acceleration sensor 26.
