FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION SERVER DEVICE, FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION CLIENT DEVICE, AND FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION METHOD

A fingerprint authentication server device which is used for a system of a form wherein the fingerprint authentication server device integrally manages the user IDs of a plurality of users to be authenticated and the registered fingerprint data relating to the users by means of a database and a fingerprint authentication client device holds the user IDs of a part of the users and the registered fingerprint data relating to the part of the users.  The fingerprint authentication server device is provided with a means which manages the hash values of the user IDs and the registered fingerprint data integrally managed by means of the database, by means of a hash value table on a memory, and a means which receives the respective hash values of the user ID of a user to be authenticated and the registered fingerprint data corresponding to the user ID from the fingerprint authentication client device, determines coincidence/noncoincidence by searching the hash value table, sends the result of the determination to the fingerprint authentication client device, and allows the fingerprint authentication client device to authenticate the fingerprint of the user whose hash values coincide with each other.
