PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing agent for a liquid crystal one-drop-fill method, which is suitable for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element capable of reducing light escaping in liquid crystal display because the sealing agent has excellent pot life and high adhesiveness between a seal and a substrate and does not almost cause liquid crystal contamination; and to provide a vertical conducting material and the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The sealing agent for the liquid crystal one-drop-fill method contains a (meth)acrylate compound having a structure expressed by general formula (1), a curable resin having an epoxy group and malonic acid dihydrazide. In general formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>expresses a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R<SP>2</SP>expresses a chemical formula (2-1) or (2-2), R<SP>3</SP>expresses a structure derived from acid anhydride, R<SP>4</SP>expresses a structure derived from an epoxy compound, X expresses an opened ring structure of cyclic lactone, n is 1, and (a) is an integer of 1 to 4.
