PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of economically and efficiently producing a sheet-shaped knitted fabric of excellent tensile stability from an annular knitted fabric produced by a circular knitting machine. SOLUTION: The method of producing a sheet-shaped knitted fabric includes introducing a cylindrical annular knitted fabric O knitted by a circular knitting machine, using a pair of rollers 1a, 1b for withdrawing a knitted fabric in a state of a flat double sheet into a heat-setting tentering finishing process B, and cutting the annularly knitted fabric O of a flat double-sheet shape open at its selvedges each disposed on either end of the width direction thereof using a cutter C immediately after subjecting the same to the tentering finishing process B, to divide it into a pair of sheet-shaped knitted fabrics S1, S2.
