PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bodily fluid treatment material which does not allow bodily fluid to leak out therefrom even particularly when the pressure of the wearer's body acts on the article or when the attitude of the wearer's body changes, and a wearing article including the bodily fluid treatment material. SOLUTION: A containment body 10 of a bodily fluid treatment material 1 has first and second sheets 12, 13 joined together at the peripheries thereof into a bag-like shape. An opening 11 is formed in the first sheet 12 so as to penetrate therethrough in the thickness direction thereof. A backflow prevention means 20 includes a flat plate-like valve body 30 located at the first sheet 12 on the inner side of the containment body 10, a sheet-like support body 40 for preventing the valve body 30 from dropping into the inside of the containment body 10, and a spacer 50 provided between the first sheet 12 and the support body 40. The peripheral edge of the valve body upper surface 31 is adapted to be able to make watertight contact with a valve seat section 14 formed by a peripheral edge of the opening 11 located on the inner side of the containment body 10. A space is formed between the first sheet 12 and the support body 40 by a spacer opening 53, and the valve body 30 is supported so as to be movable in the thickness direction of the spacer 50.
