THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image display device capable of suppressing the occurrence of blur in respective pixels of a three-dimensional image at any depth position as compared with the conventional one when reproducing the three-dimensional image in an aerial image reproducing system using a lens array.

SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image display device adopts an integral photography system in which the three-dimensional image is displayed by superimposing corresponding pixels in a plurality of element images being a two-dimensional plane image in three-dimensional space, and includes: a two-dimensional image display part where a plurality of display elements are arrayed and which is divided into a plurality of division areas where the pixels display the element image; variable focus lenses each of which is arranged on the optical axis of each display element of the two-dimensional image display part; lenses each of which is arranged at a position superposed on each of the division areas on the light-emitting side of the focus variable lens; and a display controller which controls the position of the pixel in the division area and the focal length of the variable focus lens so as to control the condensing point of light emitted from the display element that is the pixel of the three-dimensional image in the space.
