PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe position detecting apparatus with entry detecting function, which detects, in addition to entry of a worker, the position of the worker with an extremely simple structure. SOLUTION: The detecting apparatus includes: a plurality of entry detecting sensor markers which are disposed along a boundary line separated from a robot by a predetermined distance to constitute a light curtain, a human position detecting sensor marker attached to a person, and a light receiver which receives light from the entry detecting sensor markers and the human position detecting sensor marker. The light from the markers is actively digitally encoded to have a predetermined code pattern, and projected as the light functioning as a transmitting signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
