A sustained release pharmaceutical composition containing dimebolin or pharmaceutical salt thereof as an active component, a preparation method for said pharmaceutical composition and a preparation method for said compound are provided. Said composition is suitable for oral administration, once a day, and reaches the peak plasma concentration within 1-3 hours after oral administration. The composition is useful for preparing medicament for treating cognitive disfunction syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's syndrome, Huntington's syndrome, and senile dementia.
