TEMPERATURE MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD USING PLASMA TUBE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring strip temperature using a plasma tube are provided to accurately measure the strip temperature and to solve problems due to the existence of a conventional sighting tube. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring strip temperature using a plasma tube comprises a temperature measuring part(101), an opening, a plasma electrode(203) and a plasma tube(201). The temperature measuring part is installed on the outer wall of an annealing furnace. The temperature measuring part measures the temperature of a strip(107) without contact with the strip. The opening passes through the annealing furnace at a position where the temperature measuring part is installed. The plasma electrode forms the plasma tube between the temperature measuring part and the strip if power is supplied. The plasma electrode is installed on the inner wall of the annealing furnace to communicate with the opening. The plasma tube has a cylindrical shape.
