METHOD FOR TREATING GASTRIC CANCER WITH PERITONEAL CARCINOMATOSIS USING HYPERTHERMAL INTRAPERITONEAL CHEMOPERFUSION

A method for treating gastric cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis comprises tumor debulking (resection of the primary tumor with regiolnal lymph nodes) with the partial peritonectomy of the peritoneal areas affected by disseminated cancer cells. Upon the end of the major surgical stage, hyperthermal intraperitoneal chemoperfusion follows for 90 minutes. Mitomycin 12.5 mg/mand Cysplatin 75 mg/mare used. The continuous thermomonitoring of the patients is carried out with the control of the vital functions. The systemic chemotherapy course according to ECF regimen (Epirubicin, Cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil) is performed postoperatively.
