PURPOSE: A Korean character input apparatus using a touch screen for reducing Korean character input time is provided to quickly input Korean character by inputting a vowel in a screen keyboard through a drag method. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard display module(22) displays a sub keyboard on a display unit according to predefined main keyboard information or sub keyboard information. A touch motion analysis module(24) determines a click or a drag according to coordinate values. A character code generation module(26) determines a vowel stroke according to the information of the drag. The character code generation module generates the character code.
