The method involves measuring air flow in an internal combustion engine. An operating mode of the internal combustion engine is determined. A correction of the measurement of the air flow is applied for an operating mode in which the internal combustion engine is detected from a cartography of memorized correction for the operating mode, where the cartographies of correction is memorized for various operating modes from the internal combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for a system for correcting measurement air flow in an internal combustion engine.
