Provided is an elevator door device with convenient assembling and high detecting precision to the foreign matter. A foreign matter detecting mechanism (9) which detects whether the elevator doors (1aand 1b) is clamped by the foreign matter is arranged along the height direction of the latch bar end of the elevator door (1a) and is composed of the buffering component (9a) that is open at one side, a pressure detecting body (10) and a base component (11) which is used as the base of the pressure detecting body is assembled into the buffering component from the open side. The excessive deformation of buffering component (9a) can be prevented before the deformation of the pressure detecting body (10) when foreign matter is clamped between the elevator doors (1a and 1b) thereby preventing thepressure escaping and sensitivity descending of the pressure detecting body (10). Thereby the high-precision foreign matter detecting can be executed. Besides, as the pressure detecting body (10) andthe base component (11) are assembled into the buffering component from the open side of the buffering component (9a) the assembling operation is facilitated.
