PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary distribution of braking force to front and rear wheels only during reduction of a master cylinder pressure. SOLUTION: The braking device 10 for the vehicle is provided with the master cylinder 18 for generating a braking liquid pressure; a braking force generation mechanism 28 for giving the braking force by the braking liquid pressure of the master cylinder 18; a braking liquid pressure passage 30 for communicating the master cylinder 18 with the braking force generation mechanism 28; a reservoir 12 for absorbing the braking liquid pressure; a pressure-reduction passage 36 for communicating the reservoir 12 with the braking liquid pressure passage 30; a fuse valve 38 for shutting off the communication of the braking liquid pressure passage 30 with the pressure-reduction passage 36 when the braking liquid pressure passage 30 becomes a predetermined pressure or higher; and a variable orifice 40 for increasing flowing resistance of the braking liquid circulated along the pressure-reduction passage 36.
