PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow sewing machine easily and efficiently achieving threading work. SOLUTION: When an operator sets a threading mode using a select key 113 of a console panel 4, a cutter 51 is moved from an initial standby position to a retreat position separating from a sewing needle 32 by the driving force of a stepping motor 91 for moving forward and backward the cutter controlled by a control device 5. Thus, in threading work, the cutter 51 is prevented from obstructing the work so that threading work can be easily and efficiently achieved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
