<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device achieved in high-speed drive while holding simultaneity at driving a pixel, and reduced in the irregularity of the pixel, and also to provide an electronic apparatus employed with the solid-state image pickup device. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device has a structure stacking a first chip 2 with a plurality of the pixels formed therein, and a second chip 3 with a plurality of pixel-drive circuit 11 to drive the pixel 4. The pixel 4 is constituted of a light receiver to generate a signal charge in accordance with the received amount of light, and a plurality of MOS transistors to read a signal charge generated at the light receiver and to output it as a pixel signal. A plurality of pixels are formed on the first chip 2. The pixel-drive circuit 11 supplies a desired drive pulse to the pixel 4, and is numerously formed at the second chip 3. Furthermore, in the first chip 2 and the second chip 3 having these structures, the second chip 3 is stacked on the lower layer of the first chip 2 so as to dispose the pixel-drive circuit 11 paired to the pixel 4 in the lower part of the pixel 4 formed on the first chip 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
