<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader that can make the information-code reading direction and the RFID-tag reading direction approximately in the same direction for user's usability, and obtains high gain in the RFID tag reading direction, while downsizing. <P>SOLUTION: A passive element 17b is provided around a reading port 4a. When a user directs the reading port 4a of an optical-information reading mechanism 6 to an RFID tag 2 to communicate with the RFID tag 2, an antenna-gain can be highly raised by a passive element 17b functioning as a wave director. As the passive element 17b is arranged around the reading port 4a so as to encircle the reading port 4a, the passive element 17b can be provided near the reading port 4a without blocking the reading field of the optical information reading mechanism 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
