The device has a housing (8) axially opened on one side and mountable at a front side of a carriage that is longitudinally movable on raceways over a rolling body. The housing is closeable with a housing cover (9) and includes a lubricant container that has a storage body (10) made of absorbent material and immersible with a pourable lubricant i.e. fluid lubricant. The container is connected with lubricant dispensers (11). The housing is made of a hard, spring-stiffness material, and the housing cover is made of soft, spring elastic material.
