PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle efficiently recovering an assist force of a booster at the restart of an engine. SOLUTION: A flag fFMBSH is set to 1 when the assist force of the booster drops. An automatic start is executed when the flag fFMBSH is set to 1 during an idling stop. At the automatic start from the idling stop, an intake air quantity is controlled by changing intake valve closing timing IVC by a variable valve train when the flag fFMBSH is set to zero, and intake pipe negative pressure is increased by controlling an intake air quantity by an throttle opening with the intake valve closing timing IVC set near the bottom dead center when the flag fFMBSH is set to 1.
