PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for a high pressure gas container having improved durability and corrosion resistance, and reduced manufacturing cost for preventing the leakage of gas, and to provide the high pressure gas container. SOLUTION: A valve element 5 changes the opening of a gas flow path 4 which is formed in a valve body 3 mounted in the high pressure gas container 1. At least one of the valve element 5 and a valve seat 6 has a synthetic resin seal member 5b. The valve element 5 is pushed against the valve seat 6 via the seal member 5b to close the gas flow path 4. The used synthetic resin is at least one of a polyether ether ketone resin, a polyphenylene sulfide resin, and a polyether sulfon resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
