PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling characteristics of a connecting device of a vehicle seat. SOLUTION: A reclining device 4 (the connecting device of the vehicle seat) includes: a reclining mechanism part 4A for adjusting an angle of a seat back; and a memory mechanism part 4B for storing the angle of the seat back. The reclining device 4 includes: a first guide 10 for connecting to a seat cushion; the first poles 30 and 30 circumferentially supported by the first guide 10; a first ratchet 20 having inner circumferential tooth faces 22a and 22a which are meshed with outer circumferential tooth faces 30a and 30a of the first poles 30 and 30 for stopping rotation; the second poles 130 and 130 circumferentially supported by the first ratchet 20; and a second ratchet 110 which is connected to the seat back and has inner circumferential tooth faces 112a and 112a meshed with outer circumferential tooth faces 130a and 130a of the second poles 130 and 130 for stopping rotation, so that the members are sequentially assembled in one axial direction.
