<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of setting the leveling of a plate mill, which is applied even to the first pass of a slab without measuring the surface temperature of the slab after heating and effective to the control and reduction of a camber. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of setting the leveling of the plate mill, the curvature in the longitudinal direction of the slab is determined from the length and the amount of camber of the slab after heating, next, the temperature deviation in the width direction of the slab is calculated from the curvature in the longitudinal direction of the slab by using the predetermined relationship between the curvature in the longitudinal direction of the slab and the temperature deviation in the width direction of the slab, furthermore, the amount of leveling of a rolling mill is calculated from the temperature deviation in the width direction of the slab by using the predetermined relationship between the temperature deviation in the width direction of the slab and the amount of leveling of the rolling mill and this amount is taken as the setting value of the amount of leveling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
