PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exchange an FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) without stopping a computer system even when a failure occurs in a memory unit including a core area on a board. SOLUTION: The computer system includes a failure suspected unit determination processing part for determining a failure suspected unit on the basis of failure information and a failure dictionary when a failure occurs in the board, a core area determination processing part for determining whether a core area is set in a memory unit on the same board as the memory unit with the failure occurred therein, and a core area setting processing part for setting a core area in a memory unit in a board other than the board when the core area is set in a memory unit on the same board.
