PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound absorbing cover having a high sound absorption rate and reducing noise of a power transmission device. SOLUTION: The sound absorbing cover 50 disposed inside a transmission case 21 for reducing noise of the power transmission device 20 for transmitting power from an engine to a driving shaft via a planetary gear mechanism connected to the engine of a vehicle includes a cover body 51 composed as a frame body having at least one opening part 54 and fixed to the transmission case 21, and a sound absorbing material 55 fixed to the cover body 51 so as to block the opening part 54.
