PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel property determination apparatus which can determine a specific property concerning the lubricity of fuel, in a simple structure. SOLUTION: A fuel property determination apparatus 20 is applied to a fuel supply system 1 including: a feed pump 70 which pumps fuel in a fuel tank 30; and a high-pressure pump 60 which applies pressure to the fuel pumped through the feed pump 70 and pressure-feeds the pressurized fuel to an engine 2. The fuel-property determination apparatus 20 determines the property of a fuel used for the engine 2. The fuel property determination apparatus 20 includes: a return flow passage 76 which is connected between the feed pump 70 and the high-pressure pump 60 and returns a portion of a fuel discharged from a discharge part of the feed pump 70, to an intake part of the feed pump 70; a flow rate limiting means 21 that is disposed in the return flow passage 76 and limits a fuel flow rate which passes through the return flow passage 76; a pressure detection means 22 that detects a pressure difference produced when a fuel passes the flow rate limiting means 21; and a determination means that determines a fuel property of the fuel based on the pressure difference detected by the pressure detection means 22.
