PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift for vehicle maintenance with excellent operability by dispensing with a temporary rise of a lift table. SOLUTION: This lift 100 has: a pair of right and left elevating/lowering device parts 110; each lift table 120 to be elevated/lowered by the elevating/lowering device parts 110;, and a footboard 130 in a pit P side edge part of a vehicle advancing direction. The lift is provided with: a slide table 140 stored to freely advance/retreat into the lift table 120; a slide footboard 150 stored to be freely advance/retreat into a bottom surface side of the footboard 130, and linked with the slide table 140. An empty space between the elevating/lowering devices 110 sides and the footboard 130 generated during the rise of the lift table 120 is closed by advancing the sliding footboard 150 by interlocking with the rise of the lift table 120.
