A submersible generator that utilize energy in ocean currents, or streaming water in rivers, comprises a deflector device leading water from a part of the ocean current towards an inlet opening of an energy generator, wherein an outlet opening of the generator is located adjacent to a Venturi device providing negative pressure at the outlet opening of the generator.
