Disclosed is a roll forming method of molten glass wherein the plate width is ensured while preventing contraction of the plate width or occurrence of undulation due to cooling. A roll forming method of molten glass flowing down from a molten glass feeder widely between a pair of rolls is characterized in that the roll consists of a base material having such a quality or structure that can contain liquid internally, the molten glass is formed widely between the pair of rolls by rotating the rolls with a vapor film of liquid interposed therebetween, a molten glass ribbon thus formed is fed out downward, and the glass ribbon is cooled uniformly while holding the opposite ends of the glass ribbon passed through the pair of rolls by means of guide rolls below the pair of rolls.
