<p>The method involves sequentially reading an image pixel of successive image pixels of a digital X-ray image (X). Core size of a low-pass filter is defined depending on an image quality parameter, where the image quality is determined from an image pixel surrounding area (ROI) of the image pixel. The low-pass filter is applied on the read image pixels. Filtered image pixels (Y) are weighted with a weighing factor, and subtracted and windowed from initial image pixels of the digital X-ray image. An independent claim is also included for an X-ray device comprising an X-ray detector.</p> |
