PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to supply stable concentration ink to a printing head, even when ink in an ink cartridge has a concentration distribution. SOLUTION: In a carriage 22, a first buffer tank of small capacity 26 and a second buffer tank of large capacity 28, connecting the ink container 52a of the ink cartridge 50 and the printing head 24 are arranged in parallel. Thus, even when the ink in the ink cartridge 50 has a concentration distribution by the settling phenomenon of a pigment, the stable concentration ink can be supplied to the printing head 24, as compared with a carriage provided with only one buffer tank between the ink cartridge 50 and the printing head 24.
