IMAGING METHOD AND IMAGING DEVICE USING POSITRON BEAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-performance image, by solving the problems wherein a conventional image obtained by measuring the energy distribution of annihilation gamma-rays or the positron lifetime distribution does not provide stable information on sample surface and contains noise. SOLUTION: The high-performance image is obtained through a step of irradiating a measuring object with a positron beam in a scanning manner; a step of preparing an infographic by detecting discharged annihilation gamma-rays or scattered particles and preparing an image using the number of detected annihilation gamma-rays as contrast; and a step of preparing a new infographic from a combination of these images.
