PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label peeling mechanism capable of surely supporting a label for delivery to a user, preventing the peeled and delivered label from being loosened, and to provide a label printer with the same. SOLUTION: This label peeling mechanism 20 includes: a mount bending guide 21 including a projecting bending surface 21a for bending a long-size mount 8, to which a label 7 is attached, toward a back surface side at 90 degree or less; an upstream side mount presser guide 23 facing a guide surface part 21c on an upstream side of the bending surface 21a of the mount bending guide 21; a downstream side mount presser guide 24 facing a guide surface part 21e on a downstream side of the bending surface 21a of the mount bending guide 21; a label feeding roller 27 for feeding a label 7 peeled from the mount 8 while the mount 8 is bent at 90 degree or less along the bending surface 21a and conveyed; and a label guide roller 28 for holding the label 7 peeled from the mount 8.
