The machine has two working units such as upper molding tool (2) and a lower molding tool (3) for processing such as molding of foil (6), and inlet/outlet devices for intake and/or discharge of gas, in particular compressed air. A transition device is in provided one of the working units for guiding gas from one of the working units into the other working unit. A heating plate (4) is provided in one of the working stations for heating the foil. The inlet/outlet devices press the foil by inflow of gas into one of the working units against the heating device. An independent claim is also included for a packing method.
