PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of variation of a charge amount in an object to be coated, which has an insulation property. SOLUTION: The method of applying powder coating includes: a process of preparing the object to be coated, which has the insulation property; a process of applying a bias voltage having a first polarity to a conductive roller provided so as to be slid on the object to be coated and bringing the conductive roller into contact with the object to be coated so as to charge the object to be coated; and a process of electrostatically sticking the powder coating having a polarity opposite to the first polarity to the charged object to be coated. The conductive roller includes conductive fibers, and the fibers are brought into contact with the object to be coated. The fibers include rayon fibers, acrylic fibers and nylon fibers, and the fibers have the carbon concentration of 1.0 wt.% to 10.0 wt.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
