PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely determine a property of fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This fuel property determination device includes an alcohol concentration detecting sensor 140 for detecting a concentration of an alcohol contained in the fuel, a vapor pressure sensor 150 for detecting vapor pressure of the fuel, a means 124 for storing a data for specifying a relation of "heavy/light gravity-vapor pressure" in response to the alcohol concentration, and a fuel property determining means 124 for determining the fuel property, based on the data for specifying the relation of "heavy/light gravity-vapor pressure" stored in the storage means, the alcohol concentration detected by the alcohol concentration detecting sensor, and the vapor pressure detected by the vapor pressure sensor.
