<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a difference in radiation characteristics of an antenna element, between when being used in the vertical direction and when being used in the horizontal direction. <P>SOLUTION: An antenna 20 includes: a ground plate 21; a circuit board 22; and an antenna element 23 installed on the circuit board 22. The antenna element 23 is installed at a position apart from an upper right end of the circuit board 22 just by a predetermined offset so as to reduce the variation of the distribution of radiation characteristics of the antenna element 23 within a horizontal surface, regardless of whether a liquid crystal display device is set in the vertical direction or in the horizontal direction.
