PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver monitor monitoring a driver by use of an image even when an object blocks an imaging part. SOLUTION: The driver monitor monitoring a driver by use of an image includes: an image sensor 31 capturing the image of the driver; and an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 2 detecting a hidden area R<SB>H</SB>that includes a handle in the image based on movement of the handle interposed between the driver and the image sensor 31, and searching an image area excluding the hidden area R<SB>H</SB>in the image to track a characteristic point of the driver. The driver monitor searches the image area excluding the hidden area R<SB>H</SB>in the captured image to track the characteristic point of the driver, so that the driver can be monitored with high accuracy even when the handle or the like blocks the image sensor 31.
