PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display in which coating of a panel is easy and light from a light source for lighting is prevented from leaking to areas other than the display area. SOLUTION: The display includes a panel 2 and a light-blocking member 30. The light-blocking member 30 includes: a light-blocking member body 32 surrounding a light path from a light source 50c for lighting to a display area 12; and projection portions 39c and 39d provided at the front end surfaces 33c and 33d of the light-blocking member body 32 and projecting toward a display panel portion 10 side. An axial dimension of the light-blocking body 32 is set to be smaller than the separation distance from the display panel portion 10 to a circuit board 40. The projection portions 39c and 39d, when the rear end surface 32e of the light-blocking member body 32 contacts the front side surface 40a of the circuit board 40, have a projection dimension larger than the dimension of the gap formed between the front end surfaces 33c and 33d of the light-blocking member body 32 and the rear side surface 10a of the display panel portion 10. The projection portions have shapes which enable the projection portions to be closely attached to the rear side surface 10a of the display panel portion 10 while being compressively deformed by an amount corresponding to the difference between these dimensions.
