PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost by reduction of a number of components by commonly using a regulating member for obstructing axial movement of an element gear of a planetary gear mechanism in an automatic transmission having a plurality of transmission units equipped with the planetary gear mechanism. SOLUTION: The transmission M includes the common regulating member 60 for regulating axial movement of a carrier 40 of a planetary gear mechanism P1 and a carrier 140 of a planetary gear mechanism P2. The regulating member 60 includes a supporting flange 61b for regulating movement of the carrier 40 in axial both directions, and a supporting flange 62b for regulating movement of the carrier 140 in axial both directions. The regulating member 60 is constituted by a regulating member 61 having the supporting flange 61b, and a regulating member 62 having the supporting flange 62b.
