Computer-assisted name identification equipment comprises a first database in which a plurality of attributes including a key attribute prespecified as a name identification key are specified, and a second database in which one or more attributes except the key attribute are specified. The name identification equipment checks the attributes specified in the first database against those specified in the second database and extracts common attributes specified in common between the first and second databases. The equipment identifies names in the first and second databases depending on whether attribute values classified as the extracted common attributes coincide with each other.
