PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forklift capable of being favorably switched from manned operation to unmanned operation. SOLUTION: The unmanned operation is started (ST04) when the following three conditions are satisfied: a manned/unmanned operation switching means is switched to the unmanned operation (ST01); unmanned information from an unmanned detecting means is obtained (ST02); and an automatic operation starting switch means is switched on (ST03). The automatic operation starting switch means is operated by an operator who descended from a step. That can prevent a risk that the unmanned operation is started when the operator is on the step. Moreover, when the operator gets on the step for some reason during the unmanned operation, one of the conditions is lost, therefore, a vehicle body is stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
