PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a connector near a battery loading section without increasing the size of a camera. SOLUTION: The camera includes: a photographing optical system for forming a subject image; the battery loading section in which a battery is loaded; a spring (58) that is disposed on the face of the end of the battery loading section in the direction in which the battery is loaded, and that biases the battery in the direction in which it is ejected; a battery contact piece (56) disposed in contact with the electrode of the battery loaded in the battery loading section; and a substrate on which the connector (57) for external connection is mounted. The spring (58) is disposed between the connector (57) and the battery contact piece (56) in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the photographing optical system.
