PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for testing of an electronic compass. SOLUTION: The system for testing of the electronic compass includes a calculating module, a driving module, an electromagnetic element and an electromagnetic interference shielding device. The calculating module, the driving module and the electromagnetic element are mounted inside of the electromagnetic interference shielding device. The driving module is connected electrically to the calculating module and the electromagnetic element and drives the electromagnetic element to move circularly around one electronic compass. The calculating module is connected electrically to the driving module and the electronic compass and reads the actual position of the moved electromagnetic element by the driving module and reads the position of the detected electromagnetic element by the electronic compass. The calculating module calculates the position error between the actual position of the electromagnetic element and the detected position and displays the position error.
